Fire test of RC3 fire door
Another interesting day for our development team – testing fire doors with new components and configurations.
At Door System, we are currently testing ASSA ABLOY components on our fire doors, including door closers, lock cases and other hardware. As part of the testing, one of our fire doors, which was already approved to RC3, also achieved EI₂60 classification.
The fire doors were tested in accordance with the new standard and successfully passed the important 60-minute fire resistance threshold.
The fire test was conducted at DBI – Danish Institute of Fire and Security Technology, Denmark’s leading fire testing and certification institute.
We are now awaiting the official test report from DBI.
